help please??? What does this mean mathematically calculate the weight and mass of the unknown?

what is this telling me to do am i suppose to use f=ma and if so am i suppose to use 9.8 as accleration please helpp ill choose best answer asap

the mass of an object is m, it is a constant. For instance, a ball can have a mass of 2kg. Mass is not a force.
The weight of an object is the mass times gravitational acceleration or mg. Weight is a force that acts in the direction of the gravitational acceleration. The weight of the fish from above would be 2kg * 9.8m/s^2 = 19.6 N
So, if the fish was in the air, it would experience a force due to its weight, mg, downwards.
So F = ma
mg = ma
the m's cancel.
a = g
This shows that the acceleration of any object due to gravity alone is independent of mass. Aka, a 2kg and 200kg fish accelerate at the same rate due to gravity.

F = ma
where
F = force acting on the mass
m = mass
a = acceleration of the mass
To calculate for the mass,
m = F/a
and to determine the weight,
W = mg
where
g = acceleration due to gravity = 9.8 m/sec^2 (constant)

your question is very hard to understand.
F=ma
if you have F in Newtons and a is 9.8 m/s^2, then the mass that you get by dividing, F/a, is in kg.
so do this division, and you will get the mass in kg.
weight is not the same as mass. weight depends on gravity.
W=m*g
i.e. weight in Newtons is equal to mass (kg) times the acceleration due to gravity (m/s^2).
it's hard for me to be more specific - you didn't provide many details. the above should be enough for you though i think (hope)...

Since I don't know what the problem is, you need to calculate one of them and then the other is given by weight (N) = mass (kg) * 9.8 m/s² assuming it is on the surface of the earth.
