Question:
Could a zombie apocalypse actually happen?

Well, first of all, there ARE zombie like snails around. Leucochloridium paradoxum- A mind controlling parasite that infects a snails body though its tenticles and forces it to move to danger prone areas so birds will attack it, therefore passing on the virus. Also, it knaws on the inside of the snail. The bird gets the virus and when it poops its contaminated with the Leucochloridium paradoxum virus, then the snails eat it and therefore get infected. And it carries on.

What if a person ate the bird thats infected? I mean, its just a thought. Or what if somehow there was a virus created for humans that did the same thing, took over your mind, forced you to disintergrate inside out, and forced you to go to danger prone places so the virus could spread?

Also, who would of thought 50 years ago CLONES could be invented. I mean, thats fricking weird and people back then would think it not at all possible. Surely back then you would think the chance of a virus would be greater than being cloned?

Yes, i may have or have not been watching too much resident evil, and its highly unprobable an apocalypse would ACTUALLY happen, but still its an interesting thing to think about. Who doesnt secretly wish for a zombie apocalypse to happen? It would sure make life more exiting ;D

Depends on the type of zombie. For instance, the kind on the Walking Dead simply couldn't happen.

When it all comes down to it, all life is made up of cells. Even zombies. And cells need fuel, and they produce waste. That means for anything beyond just a very short term burst of activity, cells need fuel coming in and waste to be taken away.

That means you need a functional circulatory system. And you'll need at least some functioning organs to turn food into fuel, and to remove waste from your circulatory system.

So this idea that you can have zombies that have been heavily chowed down upon by other zombies before they turned into zombies, and zombies who have lost lots and lots of blood by having major arteries bitten threw, is just nonsense.

Furthermore, shooting them in the bodies will accomplish the goals of destroying the organs and damaging the circulatory system and making them bleed out. Again, it may not kill them right then and there, but they will die. It doesn't have to be head shots only.

In virus' such as the one mentioned it changes an organisms behaviour to increase it's chances of reproduction, not make them mindlessly hunt anything with a heartbeat.

As for zombies in resident evil and such, those are highly unlikely too because anything that is reduced to become only a blood drinking lump of flesh, they would be deprived of necessities such as water, as they would not have the IQ to care for themselves, and even if they did it would take 2-3 days for them to dehydrate and die, and it would take them more than that to find a viable water source.

"coming back from the dead" is legitimately impossible.

I know that My Lord Jesus Christ will protect me from this ever happening! But we can always fall back on Chuck Norris.
