I read a similar article, it was either on fox or aol. I can't remember. But yes, because of all the energy it takes to run google.

Its so small or a contribution for each search, and not actually based on the search itself. Just the fact that Google is running and consuming power for their computers.

I suppose all the abundant numbers of people would eventually add up, but I suppose it is in a very discreet manner. If that were true, then wouldn't the internet in general be harmful for the Earth? That was a very interesting article. :)
