They don't get brighter, they emit the same brightness is if they were in the circuit each individually.
However if you spoke in comparison to a series connection then it is a bit different story/
In parallel they get equal current I and equal voltage drop V. Therefore they all get the same power
P=IV
P=V/R = V^2 /R where R is the resistance of the individual bulb.
Connected in series the bulb with the largest resistance gets most of the voltage or if they are equal the get the same current but the supply voltage is being equally divided among them.
Power consumed by each bulb is
P=I (V/n) where n in the number of equal value bulbs.
since I=V/(nR) we can write
P=V^2 / (n^2 R)
Quite a difference is it not?

In series the 60 must be brighter, yet no longer in parallel. Parallel they're going to both get the skill they choose and shine their complete wattage. In series they are both constrained through the resistance of both mixed. they're going to both be dimmer than their respective ratings, although the single hundred will go throughout the more beneficial voltage loss from the union and may be the dimmer of both. you should bypass more beneficial ingredient with a formula exhibiting the resistance of each bulb and so on, yet i imagine you've were given the jist of it.

i know what you are thinking. you are thinking that light bulbs are just resistors and when you connect resistors in parallel the resistance drops. so you are thinking the light bulbs get brighter. Is that your train of thought?
