Is it posible to make a Youngs model double slit experiment at home using things like cardboard and a razor blade, ie household materials? I have a person in my physics class do it, but i never asked him how. If so, what kind of light and other materials should i use?

I cut two close slits in a piece of tin foil with a sharp edge. Then "framed" the tin foil with a piece of cardboard with a whole in it so as to hold it easily.

Best is a pen lasor, I bought a cheap one for $5



However you can hold the slits up to your eye and look at distance traffic lights and see the effect. (Note: different colors> different wavelengths)



For the single slit effect I hold a pair of nail clippers up to my eye and squeeze them.
