So i have a midterm tomorrow on physics: batteries and circuits.
midterms are 20% of the grade, there are 2 midterms, this being the second.
homework is 20%.
final is 40%.
I am not feeling very confident for this midterm =/ and the professor gave us the oppurtunity to take it or not, if we do not take it the homework, first midterm and final will count more heavily.
i have 100% on the homework. and a 94% on the first midterm giving me a 96% in the class.
Im scared that I might mess up on tomorrows midterm and bring my A down =/
should I take tomorrows midterm or not??
what do you think??

Hey Cheesy Ska, well I think that you should decide if you will either do better on the final or this midterm. I'm sure the teacher will make the final 60 percent rather then 40 percent, so depending on how confident you feel. Personally I would take this midterm because I'm sure this material is going to be similar to what is going to be on the final. So, If you really do not understand circuits and batteries then you should take the test to see what exactly you don't understand for the final. Even though it will bring your A down you will have a chance to make up for it on the final. So that is my suggestion, I mean it's not that big of a deal. One key that has gotten me through college is keeping a cool head about everything. This is because a cool head produces better answers, and not instinctual answers. Well I hope this helps.

If you know the work you deserve the A. If you don't then you don't deserve the A and shouldn't expect it.

Prove that you know the work to yourself and to others.

Even if there is a risk of lowering your mark. Who cares?

Unless you have the confidence to KNOW that you are doing things correctly you can never be useful to anyone. An engineer doesn't have some mystical father figure that is all knowing that can double check his designs. They either work or they don't.

If all you are interested in is the game then you wouldn't take the risk because you have nothing to gain.

Even if you get a perfect score it would raise your mark less than 1%.

So are you a student or a game player? You decide.

Well considering that you are not confident to take the 2nd midterm, just don't take the test. You received an A on your first midterm

anyway and you said he will grade it more heavily.
