ac changes its direction in every 1/100 second in India so its time period is 1/100.so frequency must be=1/time period=1/1/100=100 hertz.but the frequency of ac in India is 50 hertz how?

frequency is measured in hertz. which means cycles per second. yes it changes direction ecry 1/100th of a second but to complete one full cycle of the sine wave curve from start to finish takes twice as long so the frequency is 50 cycles per second.

The direction of ac changes every HALF period, so a full period is 1/50 sec in India

time period of ac is 1/50 therefore its frequency is 50 hertz

ac changes its direction in every1/100 seconds that in every 0.001 second ac changes its direction
so in the time 1 second ac changes its direction 50 times hence we say frequency is 50 hertz.

time period=2*(time taken to change dir'n)
frequency=1/time period
=1/(2/100)=50

No i think its 50Hz to 60Hz
because in India we get electricity of 220V to 240V
so 100Hz capacity wont be working in 240V :-? it needs more
if 440V is given to the AC i hope it will work :)
