How do u convert a postscript file to an EPS file using GSView Ghostscript?

I can produce the .eps file but when i try to open it, it just becomes FILE, something i cannot open......

You need to manually add the .eps extension to the file. When you save the file, name it as FILE.eps, not just FILE.

You may be able to find a converter on the Internet. I had a similar problem when I tried to convert JPEG images to EPS files for use in Latex. I found a converter on the Internet which converted the files. There may be such a converter to do what you are trying to do, or possibly more information about how to do it within Ghostscript.

There should be a 'convert' command in one of the menus.
