No, because you can't really "see" a heat wave. You can only detect it with instruments.
Hmm, I suppose it might be possible to set up lab apparatus that could first detect the wave then send a heat wave wave to the source.
Sounds kind of weird and pointless, but it could be done.

Depends on if it was coming or going, if it was going then it would be facing away from you and would not see the response, therefore no point in your efforts. Despite your intended good will. If it is coming toward you then wave and greet it "warmhearted"!
